About Kraken Networking
Kraken Networking was born out of a feeling that, there was space for one more. Whilst running my digital agency, Blueocto, and looking to expand our reach in New Business Development, we felt that, despite attending a variety of events, that we wan’t to do something different.
Not just another networking event
As a small business owner, I needed to justify spending time and money, out of my business and know that it was worth it. We wanted the event to have tangible takeaways – whether that is a new connection, learning something new, being inspired and motivated or simply having much needed water-cooler time as a solo-preneur.
I felt there was opportunity to do things differently and after such a great first event and receiving a rang of feedback, we knew this was worth pursuing and so Kraken Networking was born.
The dream
I’ve always been passionate about running a business and being involved in the local business community. I’ve enjoyed attending events and also hosting events which I do hope to continue going forward.
The dream for Kraken is to become the go-to digital space, for local business owners to connect, expand their knowledge, be inspired and essentially grow their business!

This event is run as a non-profit, all proceeds go towards covering the Venue fee’s and Refreshment costs.
